C03-RECYCLING COFFEE FILTERS

A new mezzanine floor has been inserted. The roof pitch has been exposed to give a sense of space. The external walls and the roofs have been insulated to a high standard to offer thermal comfort.

The exterior look was maintained as the property is located with a small village.

The design relies on the use of interconnected spaces but using modestly priced construction materials.

The opposite photograph shows the completed new building.

The dilapidated existing building has been demolished. A new building has been constructed with external canopy to store the pallets in a dry condition.

Planter boxes were designed around the steel columns to protect them from damage by the forklift trucks.

The use of the plant is understood and used to make poetic architectural language.
